FAQ

Are the covers machine washable?

Yes, every Chicory slipcover, along with the removable internal Frame Duvet, and outdoor protective covers are machine washable. Wash on a cold, delicate cycle and hang to dry. For everyday care, spot cleaning is recommended first, with machine washing when a deeper refresh is needed.

Can I buy replacement slipcovers separately?

Yes. Replacement slipcover sets are available for all Chicory furniture configurations, making it easy to refresh your furniture, keep a spare set on hand, or update the color over time. Be sure to choose the slipcover set that matches your specific configuration for the best fit.

Why choose a U-sectional instead of an L-shaped sectional?

A U-sectional surrounds a central space with seating on three sides, creating a layout that's ideal for conversation and entertaining. If you regularly host family and friends or want a more social seating arrangement, a U-shaped configuration provides more opportunities for everyone to gather comfortably.

Is a U-sectional a good choice for my outdoor space?

U-sectionals work best in larger patios, decks, and outdoor living areas where there's enough room to comfortably move around the furniture. We recommend measuring your space before ordering to ensure the configuration fits while leaving adequate space for walkways and other outdoor features.

Can I reconfigure or expand my U-sectional over time?

Yes. The Chicory Outdoor Collection is modular, allowing you to rearrange your existing layout or add coordinating seating modules as your outdoor space and seating needs evolve. This flexibility makes it easy to adapt your configuration without replacing your original furniture.

Wraparound Seating Designed for Gathering

A U-shaped sectional creates a comfortable outdoor living space where everyone can gather in one place. By surrounding a central area with seating, the layout naturally encourages conversation, making it a popular choice for homeowners who enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Within the Chicory Outdoor Collection, U-sectionals are built from modular seating components that can be arranged to suit larger patios, decks, and outdoor living spaces. Depending on the configuration, layouts may include corner modules, armchairs, armless chairs, and ottomans to create a spacious wraparound arrangement that feels both open and inviting.

The collection is available in outdoor performance fabrics, and complimentary fabric swatches can be ordered to compare colors and textures before selecting upholstery.

A Natural Layout for Conversation

Unlike a straight sofa or traditional sectional, a U-shaped configuration brings people closer together by surrounding a shared focal point. Whether centered around a coffee table, fire pit, or open gathering space, the layout encourages guests to interact while maintaining plenty of comfortable seating.

U-sectionals are well suited for:

  • Large patios and outdoor living rooms
  • Families who spend time outdoors together
  • Homes that regularly host guests
  • Spaces centered around a fire pit or coffee table
  • Backyards designed for entertaining and relaxing

Because the seating is modular, layouts can be adjusted or expanded over time as your outdoor space evolves.

Built for Long-Term Flexibility

A U-sectional often becomes the centerpiece of an outdoor living area, making flexibility an important part of long-term ownership. Chicory's modular design allows homeowners to rearrange seating, add coordinating modules, or adapt their layout as their needs change.

Removable slipcovers simplify routine care, while replacement slipcover sets make it easy to refresh individual modules without replacing the entire sectional. Coordinating protective covers are also available for additional protection during extended periods of harsh weather or seasonal storage.

What Makes Chicory U-Sectionals Different

Many U-shaped sectionals are designed as fixed furniture sets that remain in one configuration. Chicory's modular approach offers the same wraparound seating experience while allowing homeowners to adapt their layout over time.

Whether you're creating an outdoor space for family movie nights, neighborhood gatherings, or quiet evenings around the fire pit, a U-sectional provides a comfortable foundation that encourages people to gather, connect, and enjoy the space together.
