There's a reason the L-shaped couch is one of the most searched configurations when people are planning an outdoor living space. It makes use of corners efficiently, creates a natural gathering arrangement, and offers more seating than a straight sofa without taking up significantly more floor space. For patios, decks, and backyard setups where the layout calls for something intentional, a modern L-shaped couch is almost always the right answer.
Chicory offers L-shaped sectional options, each built on a modular system that lets the layout flex over time rather than locking into one fixed shape.
A Flexible System
Unlike traditional L-shaped sectionals, Chicory is designed with flexibility in mind, offering configurations that aren’t fixed and can be easily adjusted to suit your space. Every piece is part of a modular system where base blocks connect. The L-shape is created by connecting modules at a corner, and the same pieces that form the L today can be reconfigured into a straight sofa, a U-shape, or an entirely different arrangement tomorrow.
A corner that works perfectly this year might be used differently after a renovation, a move, or simply a change in how the space gets used. A Chicory L-shaped sectional couch adapts to all of that without requiring new furniture.
The Washable Collection: Corner Sectionals That Form the L
The Chicory x Anabei Washable Collection offers corner sectionals ranging from 4-seater through 7-seater configurations, all of which create the classic L-shaped sectional layout. The 5-seater corner sectional measures 103.5" wide by 103.5" deep, while the 7-seater corner sectional extends to 138" wide by 138" deep, giving meaningful size options depending on the patio footprint.
The patent-pending powder-coated steel frame with stainless steel hardware is built to resist corrosion and rust and is designed to last a lifetime. Internal breathable textile layers drain liquid and prevent moisture from trapping inside the cushions, which keeps the whole setup comfortable even after rain.
Every module in the Washable Collection is collapsible, and the entire set ships in lightweight boxes that fit through any door. Assembly is straightforward: arrange the frame, slip on the patent-pending frame duvet, and dress it with the performance covers. For a large format piece like a modern L-shaped couch, that delivery experience makes a real difference.
Fabrics That Hold Up
A modern L-shaped couch that sees daily outdoor use needs fabrics that can keep up, and Chicory delivers on that.
On the Washable Collection, fabric covers and the frame duvet are fully machine washable. The performance fabrics are UV fade-proof, maintaining color integrity for up to 2,000 sunlight hours, and feature a nontoxic moisture barrier that resists rain as well as everyday spills. The Classic Canvas fabric surpasses an abrasion resistance of 100,000 double rubs. Every color maintains hue integrity, and fabrics are PFC and PFAS-free, Oeko-Tex® certified, and manufactured using recycled water.
Comfort Designed for Long Sessions
An L-shaped sectional couch becomes the default gathering spot in any outdoor space, which means comfort has to hold up through hours of use, not just the first sit. Chicory's cushions are composed of blend of low and high-density high-resilience, CertiPUR-US® foam. The seating depth and width are designed with genuine lounging in mind, which is a quality too often skipped in outdoor furniture. These are sofas people actually want to stay on, not just look at.
Built With Sustainability in Mind
The Washable Collection is built for longevity - it helps reduce waste by minimizing the need for replacements. Materials are carefully selected for durability and future recyclability, allowing components to be reused over time.
Fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, PFAS and PFC-free, and produced using resource-conscious processes like recycled water systems. Shipping is carbon neutral, with all orders delivered via parcel in packaging designed to reduce excess waste.
